Auditions' dates for Young Kings, National Calypso

Queens and Stars of Tomorrow Competitions

Announced



The National Action Cultural Committee (NACC) and the National Women Action Committee (NWAC) will host the auditions for the 'Young Kings Calypso Monarch' and the 'National Calypso Queen' Competitions, from 11.00 am on Saturday 12th December 2015 and Sunday 13th December, 2015.



The auditions for the Stars of Tomorrow Calypso Competition which focuses on

young artistes within the 19½ - 32½  years age-group, will also be hosted on those days.



The organizing committees also wish to announce a change in the auditioning process for artistes based in Tobago. Artistes resident in Tobago can now audition in Trinidad, for the national finals for the Young Kings Calypso Monarch, and the National Calypso Queen Competitions.



Artistes who wish to audition for these competitions can register between 9 am and 4 pm, on weekdays, at the NACC office, 40 Duke St, Port of Spain.

NACC announces Order of Appearance for Young Kings finalists

The National Action Cultural Committee (NACC) wishes to announce the order of appearance for the 2016 National Young Kings Calypso Monarch Competition, which will be held on Monday 25th January at Queen's Park Savannah, POS from 7:30pm. The Young Kings competition is the nation's second longest running national calypso competition. This year, twenty-one artistes will be competing for the prestigious crown, in the show's 32nd national finals. The order of appearance is as follows.

Results of the 2014 Young Kings Calypso Monarch Competition

Bevon St. Clair is the 2014 Young King Calypso Monarch. St. Clair won the compettion with a calypso entitled “ Another Flambeau ”. The Young King Calypso Monarch Competition   was hosted last night (Monday 17 th February) by the National Action Cultural Committee at the National Academy for the performing Arts (NAPA).
