Finalists Announced for National Calypso Queen Competition 2016

The National Women's Action Committee (NWAC) is pleased to announce the finalists for the 2016 National Calypso Queen Competition, which will be held on Monday 18^thJanuary, 2016, at Queen's Hall.

2015 Young Kings Calypso Monarch Competition Results

NEWS RELEASE Arnold Jordan is the 2015 Young King Calypso Monarch. The Young King Calypso Monarch Competition was hosted on Monday night (2 nd February) by the National Action Cultural Committee at the Grand Stand, Queen's Park Savannah. The National Action Cultural Committee (NACC) and the National Youth Action Committee are pleased to present the finalists of the 25 th Annual Emancipation competition. These 25 years of the Emancipation Calypso Competition represent a major contribution to the instilling of in the population, a greater appreciation for Emancipation Day. It has also provided a platform for youth development in the art form of calypso, as well as encouraged them to research the relevance of Emancipation to our development as a people. NACC announces Order of Appearance for Young Kings finalists

The National Action Cultural Committee (NACC) wishes to announce the order of appearance for the 2016 National Young Kings Calypso Monarch Competition, which will be held on Monday 25th January at Queen's Park Savannah, POS from 7:30pm. The Young Kings competition is the nation's second longest running national calypso competition. This year, twenty-one artistes will be competing for the prestigious crown, in the show's 32nd national finals. The order of appearance is as follows.
