DATES OF EVENTS HOSTED BY NACC & NWAC FOR CARNIVAL 2017

The National Action Cultural Committee (NACC) is pleased to announce that registration for auditions are now open for the Carnival competitions hosted by the organisation and its sister institution the National Women's Action Committee (NWAC). The events include the Young Kings Competition hosted by the NACC; and the National Calypso Queen Competition hosted by the NWAC .   The NACC also wishes to announce the dates for the auditions and finals of these competitions and other Carnival events which will be  hosted by the organisation and its affiliate institutions (see schedule below). Duane Ta’zyah O’Connor and Kerine 'Tiny' Williams Win 2016 Emancipation Competition Crowns

DUANE TA'ZYAH O'CONNOR   is the winner of the first prize in the 5-17 age group of the Emancipation Calypso Competition hosted on Tuesday 26 th July, 2016, by the National Action Cultural Committee in association with First Citizens and the National Youth Action Committee, at City Hall, Knox Street, Port-of-Spain. KERINE 'TINY' WILLIAMS is the winner of the 18 – 35 age grouping.   The full list of placings of artistes with respective calypsoes are given below. 5-17 age group 1 st place – Duane Ta'zyah O'Connor – Proud African 2 nd place – Tsahai Corbin – Reason to Celebrate 3 nd place – Caryn Mc Carthy – Gotta Be Free 4 th place – Desle Julien – Decade of Dedication 5 th place –  Jeremiah James – Take Me Mama 6 th place – Takiyah Nurse – No Longer In Chains 7 th place – N'Janela Duncan Regis – Where Is My C
