The 24 th Annual “Top 20” Stars of Gold and Calypso of the Year Awards Ceremony will take place on Saturday 7 th January 2012, at the National Academy for the Performing Arts,(NAPA) Upper Frederick Street, Port of Spain. The “Top 20” are awards of distinction and represent the pinnacle of achievement for excellence in calypso composition and the system of adjudication seeks to tap Trinidad & Tobago’s collective wisdom in order to establish national consensus about the essence of truly great calypsoes

Top Forty Calypsos Elegible For The Top Twenty Stars Of Gold Awards

The National Action Cultural Committee has circulated the 2011 “Top 40” Stars of Gold Calypsoes to forty (40) judges who have been selected to choose those calypsoes which are eligible for the 24th Annual ‘Top 20 Stars of Gold Calypso Awards.’ These awards are for the twenty most outstanding calypsoes of 2011. The 24 th Annual “Top 20” Stars of Gold and Calypso of the Year Awards Ceremony will take place on Saturday 7 th January 2012, at the National Academy for the Performing Arts, Upper Frederick Street, Port of Spain.
