National Calypso Queen Competition 2015

Ife Alleyne is the new National Calypso Queen. She won the National Calypso Queen Competition hosted by the National Women's Action Committee (NWAC) on Monday night (19th January), at Queen's Hall, with a selection entitled "Child of Liberty".
The results are as follows:

1st place - Ife Alleyne - Child of Liberty

2nd place - Allison Bernard - Time to Arise

3rd place - Kerine Williams - How Much

4th place - Stacey Sobers - Special Day

5th place - Natasha Nurse - A Farmer's Plight

6th place   - Meguella Simon - Ah Cyar Breathe

6th place - Wendy Garrick - Not One Drop

8th place - Roslyn Reid - Make the Right Choice

9th place - Tammico Moore (Spicey) - D' Advice

10th place - Makeda Darius - Start Now

NACC announces Order of Appearance for Young Kings finalists

The National Action Cultural Committee (NACC) wishes to announce the order of appearance for the 2016 National Young Kings Calypso Monarch Competition, which will be held on Monday 25th January at Queen's Park Savannah, POS from 7:30pm. The Young Kings competition is the nation's second longest running national calypso competition. This year, twenty-one artistes will be competing for the prestigious crown, in the show's 32nd national finals. The order of appearance is as follows.

Duane Ta’zyah O’Connor and Kerine 'Tiny' Williams Win 2016 Emancipation Competition Crowns

DUANE TA'ZYAH O'CONNOR   is the winner of the first prize in the 5-17 age group of the Emancipation Calypso Competition hosted on Tuesday 26 th July, 2016, by the National Action Cultural Committee in association with First Citizens and the National Youth Action Committee, at City Hall, Knox Street, Port-of-Spain.
