Results for the 2015 Stars Of Tomorrow Calypso Competition

 Ife Alleyne is the new Star of Tomorrow. Alleyne won the Stars of Tomorrow Calypso Competition hosted by the National Youth Action Committee yesterday (Sunday 11th January), at Daaga Hall, UWI, St. Augustine.

The placings and selections rendered are as follows:

 

1st place – Ife Alleyne -– A Child of Liberty

2nd place – Arnold Jordan - This Is My Life

3rd place – Helon Francis - Stalwart

4th place – Jhevon Jackson - Kaiso Baby

 5th place –Ezekiel Yorke - Equality

6th place – Sergio Francisco  - Just like Sparrow

7th place – Rondell Greaves  - Integrity

8th place – Khadja Antoine  -–Water Confusion

9th place – Jesse Stewart - The Untouchables

10th place – Megan Walrond  – Signs of the Time

FINALISTS ANNOUNCED FOR 25th ANNUAL EMANCIPATION CALYPSO COMPETITION

                    The National Action Cultural Committee (NACC) and the National Youth Action Committee are pleased to present the finalists of the 25 th Annual Emancipation competition. These 25 years of the Emancipation Calypso Competition represent a major contribution to the instilling of in the population, a greater appreciation for Emancipation Day. It has also provided a platform for youth development in the art form of calypso, as well as encouraged them to research the relevance of Emancipation to our development as a people. We wish to thank all those who shared our vision and participated in various ways to assist in making these achievements possible. NACC announces Order of Appearance for Young Kings finalists

The National Action Cultural Committee (NACC) wishes to announce the order of appearance for the 2016 National Young Kings Calypso Monarch Competition, which will be held on Monday 25th January at Queen's Park Savannah, POS from 7:30pm. The Young Kings competition is the nation's second longest running national calypso competition. This year, twenty-one artistes will be competing for the prestigious crown, in the show's 32nd national finals. The order of appearance is as follows.
