CALYPSO PIONEERS and CALYPSO JEWELS COMPETITIONS 2015



The National Youth Action Committee hosted the Calypso Pioneers competition sponsored by First Citizens and the Calypso Jewels competitions at the Grand Stand, Queens Park Savannah on Tuesday 3rd  February. The Calypso Jewels competition was won by Aaron Duncan, whilst Zakiya Grant won the Calypso Pioneers competition.

The results are as follows:

1st place – Zakiya Grant – Valencia Govt Primary – Learn Now for Later

2nd  place – Stefan Camejo – Sacred Heart Boys' RC – Teacher for a Day

3rd place – Shawnelle Wong – Princes Town Presbyterian #2 Primary – D' World Not Safe


4th place – A'Janae King-Fraser – Arima Girls' RC – For Love of Country

5th place – Kurlise Bentham – Sacred Heart Girls' RC – Ketch Yuh Self

6th place – Amelia Emmanuel – Sacred Heart Girls' RC  - LOL

7th place – Jayda Celestine – St. Michael's Anglican, Princes Town – Play

8th place – Clavaughn Thompson – Belmont Boys' RC – War

9th place – Jason James – Arima Boys' RC – My Focus

NACC announces Order of Appearance for Young Kings finalists

The National Action Cultural Committee (NACC) wishes to announce the order of appearance for the 2016 National Young Kings Calypso Monarch Competition, which will be held on Monday 25th January at Queen's Park Savannah, POS from 7:30pm. Duane Ta’zyah O’Connor and Kerine 'Tiny' Williams Win 2016 Emancipation Competition Crowns

DUANE TA'ZYAH O'CONNOR   is the winner of the first prize in the 5-17 age group of the Emancipation Calypso Competition hosted on Tuesday 26 th July, 2016, by the National Action Cultural Committee in association with First Citizens and the National Youth Action Committee, at City Hall, Knox Street, Port-of-Spain.
