Young Kings Order of Appearance


The NACC, the organizing body of the Young Kings Calypso Monarch Competition, is pleased to announce the order of appearance of this year’s finalists. This year’s Young King Competition is in tribute to the late Bro. Anum Bankole, former Chairman of the committee. Bankole passed away on January 11th, earlier this year. The competition takes place this Monday, at the Grand Stand, Queen’s Park Savannah from 7:30pm. Calypso icon David Rudder will be delivering a guest performance, as well as the SANFEST Dance Category winner the New Butler Associate College Dancers. The chairpersons of the event are 2012 National Calypso Monarch Duanne O’Connor and Dr Phaedra Pierre. For further information, interested persons can call 623-5470 or 222-3471. 2016 Stars of Tomorrow finalists announced

 The National Youth Action Committee (NYAC) is pleased to announce the twenty (20) finalists for the 2016 Stars of Tomorrow Calypso Competition, which will be held on Saturday 9 th January, 2016, at Daaga Hall, UWI, St. Augustine. National Calypso Queen Competition 2015

NEWS RELEASE Ife Alleyne is the new National Calypso Queen. She won the National Calypso Queen Competition hosted by the National Women's Action Committee (NWAC) on Monday night (19 th January), at Queen's Hall, with a selection entitled " Child of Liberty ".
