Young Kings Order of Appearance


The NACC, the organizing body of the Young Kings Calypso Monarch Competition, is pleased to announce the order of appearance of this year’s finalists. This year’s Young King Competition is in tribute to the late Bro. Anum Bankole, former Chairman of the committee. Bankole passed away on January 11th, earlier this year. The competition takes place this Monday, at the Grand Stand, Queen’s Park Savannah from 7:30pm. Calypso icon David Rudder will be delivering a guest performance, as well as the SANFEST Dance Category winner the New Butler Associate College Dancers. The chairpersons of the event are 2012 National Calypso Monarch Duanne O’Connor and Dr Phaedra Pierre. For further information, interested persons can call 623-5470 or 222-3471. NEWS RELEASE Arnold Jordan is the 2015 Young King Calypso Monarch. The Young King Calypso Monarch Competition  was hosted  on Monday night  (2 nd   February) by the National Action Cultural Committee at the Grand Stand, Queen's Park Savannah. Duane Ta’zyah O’Connor and Kerine 'Tiny' Williams Win 2016 Emancipation Competition Crowns

DUANE TA'ZYAH O'CONNOR   is the winner of the first prize in the 5-17 age group of the Emancipation Calypso Competition hosted on Tuesday 26 th July, 2016, by the National Action Cultural Committee in association with First Citizens and the National Youth Action Committee, at City Hall, Knox Street, Port-of-Spain.
