FINALISTS ANNOUNCED FOR 25th ANNUAL EMANCIPATION CALYPSO COMPETITION



                   

The National Action Cultural Committee (NACC) and the National Youth Action Committee are pleased to present the finalists of the 25th Annual Emancipation competition. These 25 years of the Emancipation Calypso Competition represent a major contribution to the instilling of in the population, a greater appreciation for Emancipation Day. It has also provided a platform for youth development in the art form of calypso, as well as encouraged them to research the relevance of Emancipation to our development as a people. We wish to thank all those who shared our vision and participated in various ways to assist in making these achievements possible.

 The National Youth Action Committee (NYAC) is pleased to announce the twenty (20) finalists for the 2016 Stars of Tomorrow Calypso Competition, which will be held on Saturday 9 th January, 2016, at Daaga Hall, UWI, St. Augustine. National Calypso Queen Competition 2015

NEWS RELEASE Ife Alleyne is the new National Calypso Queen. She won the National Calypso Queen Competition hosted by the National Women's Action Committee (NWAC) on Monday night (19 th January), at Queen's Hall, with a selection entitled " Child of Liberty ".
