Top 40 Calypsoes 2014

The National Action Cultural Committee (NACC) are pleased to announce the Top 40 Calypsoes for 2014. From these calypsoes a panel of judges will select the Top 20 Calypsoes of 2014. Awards for the Top 20 calypsoes will be presented at the 27th Annual 'Top 20' Calypso Stars of Gold and Calypso of the Year Awards Ceremony. This ceremony takes place on Thursday 11th December 2014 at the Andre Kamperveen Hall, Centre of Excellence, Macoya from 7:30pm.
The 'Top 20' Awards are awards of distinction for excellence in calypso composition. The NACC's system of adjudication seeks to establish national consensus about the essence of truly great calypsoes.

FINALISTS ANNOUNCED FOR 25th ANNUAL EMANCIPATION CALYPSO COMPETITION

                    The National Action Cultural Committee (NACC) and the National Youth Action Committee are pleased to present the finalists of the 25 th Annual Emancipation competition. These 25 years of the Emancipation Calypso Competition represent a major contribution to the instilling of in the population, a greater appreciation for Emancipation Day. It has also provided a platform for youth development in the art form of calypso, as well as encouraged them to research the relevance of Emancipation to our development as a people. We wish to thank all those who shared our vision and participated in various ways to assist in making these achievements possible. NACC announces Order of Appearance for Young Kings finalists

The National Action Cultural Committee (NACC) wishes to announce the order of appearance for the 2016 National Young Kings Calypso Monarch Competition, which will be held on Monday 25th January at Queen's Park Savannah, POS from 7:30pm. The Young Kings competition is the nation's second longest running national calypso competition. This year, twenty-one artistes will be competing for the prestigious crown, in the show's 32nd national finals. The order of appearance is as follows.
