Top 40 Calypsoes 2014

The National Action Cultural Committee (NACC) are pleased to announce the Top 40 Calypsoes for 2014. From these calypsoes a panel of judges will select the Top 20 Calypsoes of 2014. Awards for the Top 20 calypsoes will be presented at the 27th Annual 'Top 20' Calypso Stars of Gold and Calypso of the Year Awards Ceremony. This ceremony takes place on Thursday 11th December 2014 at the Andre Kamperveen Hall, Centre of Excellence, Macoya from 7:30pm.
The 'Top 20' Awards are awards of distinction for excellence in calypso composition. The NACC's system of adjudication seeks to establish national consensus about the essence of truly great calypsoes.

2016 Stars of Tomorrow finalists announced

 The National Youth Action Committee (NYAC) is pleased to announce the twenty (20) finalists for the 2016 Stars of Tomorrow Calypso Competition, which will be held on Saturday 9 th January, 2016, at Daaga Hall, UWI, St. Augustine. National Calypso Queen Competition 2015

NEWS RELEASE Ife Alleyne is the new National Calypso Queen. She won the National Calypso Queen Competition hosted by the National Women's Action Committee (NWAC) on Monday night (19 th January), at Queen's Hall, with a selection entitled " Child of Liberty ".
