Order of Appearance of Emancipation Calypso Competition

News Release


             The National Action Cultural Committee and the National Youth Action Committee is pleased to announce the order of appearance for the finalists of the 2014 Emancipation Calypso Competition. This national youth calypso competition is produced annually by the committees and will be held at 7:30 pm, on Friday 12th February, 2014, at the SWWTU Hall, Wrightson Road, Port-of-Spain. There are two categories in this competition: the first for artistes 5 to 17 years old and the second for artistes between 18 and 35 years old. The orders of appearance for the two age-groups are as follows:

2016 Stars of Tomorrow finalists announced

 The National Youth Action Committee (NYAC) is pleased to announce the twenty (20) finalists for the 2016 Stars of Tomorrow Calypso Competition, which will be held on Saturday 9 th January, 2016, at Daaga Hall, UWI, St. Augustine. National Calypso Queen Competition 2015

NEWS RELEASE Ife Alleyne is the new National Calypso Queen. She won the National Calypso Queen Competition hosted by the National Women's Action Committee (NWAC) on Monday night (19 th January), at Queen's Hall, with a selection entitled " Child of Liberty ".
