NACC host Young Kings Prizegiving 2012

The National Action Cultural Committee (NACC) will host the 28^th Annual prizegiving ceremony for the Young Kings Calypso Monarch Competition (2012) on Sunday 24^th June 2012 at the Audiovisual Room, NALIS, National Library Building, Hart and Abercromby Streets, Port of Spain from 5.00 pm.

The NACC is pleased to note that this year the Young Kings Calypso Monarch, Duanne O’Connor, also won the prestigious title of Calypso Monarch 2012 thus maintaining our tradition of nurturing a generation of artistes who have maintained the highest standards in calypso performances.

2015 Young Kings Calypso Monarch Competition Results

FINALISTS ANNOUNCED FOR 25th ANNUAL EMANCIPATION CALYPSO COMPETITION

The National Action Cultural Committee (NACC) and the National Youth Action Committee are pleased to present the finalists of the 25 th Annual Emancipation competition. These 25 years of the Emancipation Calypso Competition represent a major contribution to the instilling of in the population, a greater appreciation for Emancipation Day. It has also provided a platform for youth development in the art form of calypso, as well as encouraged them to research the relevance of Emancipation to our development as a people. NACC announces Order of Appearance for Young Kings finalists

The National Action Cultural Committee (NACC) wishes to announce the order of appearance for the 2016 National Young Kings Calypso Monarch Competition, which will be held on Monday 25th January at Queen's Park Savannah, POS from 7:30pm. The Young Kings competition is the nation's second longest running national calypso competition. This year, twenty-one artistes will be competing for the prestigious crown, in the show's 32nd national finals. The order of appearance is as follows.
