Results of the 2014 Young Kings Calypso Monarch Competition


Bevon St. Clair is the 2014 Young King Calypso Monarch. St. Clair won the compettion with a calypso entitled “Another Flambeau”. The Young King Calypso Monarch Competition  was hosted last night (Monday 17th February) by the National Action Cultural Committee at the National Academy for the performing Arts (NAPA).

The results are as follows:

1st place – Bevon St. Clair – Another Flambeau

2nd place – Nyol Manswell – A Better World

3rd place – Heaven Charles (Snakey) – The Dhoti Song

4th place – Alpha John (AJ) – Mr. Scottish

5th place – Dillon Thomas – Bun De Grass

6th place – Ravi Bissambhar (Ravi B) – Till Next Carnival

7th place –Kyle Cowie (KC) – My Will Be Done

8th place – Gay Thomasos (M’BA) – Break They Neck

9th place – Niklas Gosine  Snakes

10th place – Allan Welch – Soil Technician

Audition Dates for the 2016 National Calypso Queen, Young Kings and Stars of Tomorrow Competitions

December 1, 2015 News Release Auditions' dates for Young Kings, National Calypso Queens and Stars of Tomorrow Competitions Announced The National Action Cultural Committee (NACC) and the National Women Action Committee (NWAC) will host the auditions for the ' Young Kings Calypso Monarch' and the 'National Calypso Queen' Competitions, from 11.00 am on Saturday 12 th December 2015 and Sunday 13th December, 2015.

NACC announces Order of Appearance for Young Kings finalists

The National Action Cultural Committee (NACC) wishes to announce the order of appearance for the 2016 National Young Kings Calypso Monarch Competition, which will be held on Monday 25th January at Queen's Park Savannah, POS from 7:30pm. The Young Kings competition is the nation's second longest running national calypso competition. This year, twenty-one artistes will be competing for the prestigious crown, in the show's 32nd national finals. The order of appearance is as follows.
