DATES OF EVENTS HOSTED BY NACC & NWAC FOR CARNIVAL 2017

The National Action Cultural Committee (NACC) is pleased to announce that registration for auditions are now open for the Carnival competitions hosted by the organisation and its sister institution the National Women's Action Committee (NWAC). The events include the Young Kings Competition hosted by the NACC; and the National Calypso Queen Competition hosted by the NWAC.

 

The NACC also wishes to announce the dates for the auditions and finals of these competitions and other Carnival events which will be hosted by the organisation and its affiliate institutions (see schedule below). Of special note is the event, Veterans Honours List, which presents many Calypso and Soca classics performed by the veterans who sang them.

Results of the 2014 Young Kings Calypso Monarch Competition

Bevon St. Clair is the 2014 Young King Calypso Monarch. St. Clair won the compettion with a calypso entitled “ Another Flambeau ”. The Young King Calypso Monarch Competition   was hosted last night (Monday 17 th February) by the National Action Cultural Committee at the National Academy for the performing Arts (NAPA). December 1, 2015 News Release Auditions' dates for Young Kings, National Calypso Queens and Stars of Tomorrow Competitions Announced The National Action Cultural Committee (NACC) and the National Women Action Committee (NWAC) will host the auditions for the ' Young Kings Calypso Monarch' and the 'National Calypso Queen' Competitions, from 11.00 am on Saturday 12 th December 2015 and Sunday 13th December, 2015.
