Young Kings Calypso Competition - Challenge Edition Results

The National Action Cultural Committee, in association with the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and the Arts and the National Lotteries Control Board, is pleased to inform the public that the first three places in the Young Kings Challenge Competition are:

1st) Ezekiel Yorke

2nd) Gary Thomasos (M'ba)

3rd) Heaven Charles (Snakey)

These three calypsonians will automatically qualify for the finals of the next Young Kings Calypso Competition, All other finalists will receive consolation prizes.

NEWS RELEASE Arnold Jordan is the 2015 Young King Calypso Monarch. The Young King Calypso Monarch Competition was hosted on Monday night (2 nd February) by the National Action Cultural Committee at the Grand Stand, Queen's Park Savannah. National Calypso Queen Competition 2015

NEWS RELEASE Ife Alleyne is the new National Calypso Queen. She won the National Calypso Queen Competition hosted by the National Women's Action Committee (NWAC) on Monday night (19 th January), at Queen's Hall, with a selection entitled " Child of Liberty ". DATES OF EVENTS HOSTED BY NACC & NWAC FOR CARNIVAL 2017

The National Action Cultural Committee (NACC) is pleased to announce that registration for auditions are now open for the Carnival competitions hosted by the organisation and its sister institution the National Women's Action Committee (NWAC). The events include the Young Kings Competition hosted by the NACC; and the National Calypso Queen Competition hosted by the NWAC . The NACC also wishes to announce the dates for the auditions and finals of these competitions and other Carnival events which will be hosted by the organisation and its affiliate institutions (see schedule below). Of special note is the event, Veterans Honours List, which presents many Calypso and Soca classics performed by the veterans who sang them.
