31st Annual Young Kings Prizegiving

NEWS RELEASE
The prize-giving ceremony for the 31st Annual Young Kings Calypso Monarch Competition will take place this weekend.
The annual presentation ceremony features performances by the finalists, and by other artistes of outstanding achievement.
This year's ceremony will be held on Sunday 19th April at the Audio-visual Room NALIS, Port-of-Spain. The programme will commence at 6:00 pm.
The results for the 2015 Young Kings competition are:
1st place – Arnold Jordan – This Is My Life
2nd place – Nicklas Gosine – Perspective of Black
3rd place – Ezekiel Yorke  – Equality
4th place – Helon Francis – Stalwart
5th place – Ninja (Kenson Neptune)  – A Level PlayingField
6th place – M'ba(Gary Thomasos) – All Inclusive Fete
7th place –Nyol Manswell – Key to Success
8th place – Jaiga (Terrence Callender) – Soca Story
9th place – Blaxx  (Dexter Stewart) – Place In Life
9th place – Sekon Alves – Take Me Back

National Calypso Queen Competition 2015

NEWS RELEASE Ife Alleyne is the new National Calypso Queen. She won the National Calypso Queen Competition hosted by the National Women's Action Committee (NWAC) on Monday night (19 th January), at Queen's Hall, with a selection entitled " Child of Liberty ". DATES OF EVENTS HOSTED BY NACC & NWAC FOR CARNIVAL 2017

The National Action Cultural Committee (NACC) is pleased to announce that registration for auditions are now open for the Carnival competitions hosted by the organisation and its sister institution the National Women's Action Committee (NWAC). The events include the Young Kings Competition hosted by the NACC; and the National Calypso Queen Competition hosted by the NWAC .   The NACC also wishes to announce the dates for the auditions and finals of these competitions and other Carnival events which will be  hosted by the organisation and its affiliate institutions (see schedule below).
