A'janae Fraser is 2016 Calypso Pioneer, Duane O'Connor 2016 wins Calypso Jewels

The National Youth Action Committee hosted the Calypso Pioneers competition sponsored by First Citizens and the Calypso Jewels competitions at the Grand Stand, Queens Park Savannah on Tuesday 26th  January. The Calypso Jewels competition (ages 11-15) was won by Duane O'Connor, whilst A'Janae King Fraser won the Calypso Pioneers competition (ages 5-10). The results are as follows: CALYPSO PIONEERS

Helon Francis is the 2016 Young King Calypso Monarch

Helon Francis is the 2016 Young King Calypso Monarch. Helon won with a selection entitled "Real Bandit". The Young King Calypso Monarch Competition was hosted  on Monday night  (25th January) by the National Action Cultural Committee at the Grand Stand, Queen's Park Savannah. NACC announces Order of Appearance for Young Kings finalists

The National Action Cultural Committee (NACC) wishes to announce the order of appearance for the 2016 National Young Kings Calypso Monarch Competition, which will be held on Monday 25th January at Queen's Park Savannah, POS from 7:30pm. The Young Kings competition is the nation's second longest running national calypso competition. This year, twenty-one artistes will be competing for the prestigious crown, in the show's 32nd national finals. The order of appearance is as follows.

Amrika Mutroo is the 2016 Star of Tomorrow

Amrika Mutroo is the new Star of Tomorrow. Mutroo won the Stars of Tomorrow Calypso Competition hosted by the National Youth Action Committee on Saturday (9th January), at Daaga Hall, UWI, St. Augustine. January 13, 2016   The National Women Action Committee (NWAC) wishes to announce the order of appearance for the 2016 National Calypso Queen Competition, which will be held on Monday 18th January at Queen's Hall, St. Ann's from 7:30pm. The National Calypso Queen Competition is the premier calypso competition for women. This year, twenty artistes will be competing for the prestigious crown, in the show's 32nd national finals. Order of Appearance for Stars of Tomorrow finalists announced

NEWS RELEASE Stars' Order of Appearance Announced   The National Youth Action Committee (NYAC) is pleased to announce the order of appearance for the 2016 Stars of Tomorrow Calypso Competition. The Stars of Tomorrow show which is the premier calypso competition for young adults will be held, tomorrow (Saturday 9 January), at Daaga Hall, U.W.I., St. Augustine, from 7:30pm. In the show's 27 th national finals, former National Calypso Monarch and Stars of Tomorrow winner, Duanne O'Connor will be delivering the welcoming address.
